This Sunday is the Super Bowl! And with the Falcons playing in the big game for the first time since the 1998 season, everyone in Atlanta is especially excited to watch.
Since we don’t get this opportunity often, I thought it would be fun to share some Super Bowl party inspiration. Whether you’re hosting your own party this weekend or watching the game at a friend’s place – try incorporating a few of the ideas below to bring some Atlanta spirit to the event!
Decor: Party City, Target, and Walmart will all carry a vast supply of Falcon’s party gear in honor of the game. But even groceries like Publix, Kroger, and drugstores will also have a variety of items. To avoid driving around town in search of a particular item, call ahead to confirm availability.
Local Foods: Fox Bros BBQ, The Varsity, Waffle House…what’s your favorite Atlanta guilty-pleasure restaurant? Whatever it may be, pickup a few of your favorite dishes to serve and share at your party – just remember to order enough, local favorites like these will go quickly! Again, call ahead to either place your order or confirm pick-up on Sunday will be available.
Team Colors: A fun way to add extra team spirit is to incorporate red and black into your desserts. This pudding dish not only looks delicious, but also screams Falcons! And these chocolate strawberry Oreo brownies are guaranteed to be a crowd favorite.
If you and your friends prefer to watch the game in a larger crowd, many local restaurants and bars are hosting Super Bowl viewing parties. Check out a list of recommended hot-spots here.
