Fall Festivals
September 19 – November 1, 2026
Stone Mountain Park’s annual Pumpkin Festival is a cherished tradition for many Atlanta families. Spend the day exploring the park’s attractions, and then head over after dark for the Glow by Night experience, where you’ll find illuminated pumpkins, a nighttime parade, and other fun activities for the whole family. The festival runs from Friday to Sunday.
October 1 – November 1
The Atlanta Botanical Garden transforms into a colorful fall wonderland, featuring hundreds of imaginative scarecrows crafted by families, schools, artists, businesses, and community groups. This year, there’s also a special display of giant scarecrows to celebrate the Garden’s 50th anniversary.
October 9 – 10
Check out Wire & Wood in downtown Alpharetta, where you can enjoy live music and songwriting from both well-known and local artists. It’s a fantastic spot for an adult night out or a family outing downtown.
If you’re looking for classic fair fun, the Cumming Country Fair & Festival is a must-visit. Picture yourself on carnival rides, enjoying fair food, live entertainment, games, and plenty of reasons to keep the kids up a bit later.
Zoo Atlanta’s Halloween celebration is a blast, with costumes, trick-or-treating, themed entertainment, and lots of photo opportunities. It’s especially great for younger children who want Halloween fun without the really scary stuff.
