Here are some of the best events taking place around Metro Atlanta the week of St. Patrick’s Day. Did we miss one of your favorites? Send us a note so we can add it to our list!


St. Patrick’s Day Celebrations

Avenue Shamrock at Avenue East Cobb: Thursday, March 12th (6 pm – 8 pm). Come out to Avenue East Cobb for a shamrockin’ evening full of fun featuring festive décor, live music, and more shenanigans


Luck of Avalon: Friday, March 13th (6 pm – 9 pm). Sham-ROCK the night away in The Plaza with special performances, live music, Irish flair & of course, green beer!

Atlanta St. Patrick’s Day Parade: Saturday, March 14th at noon. The Atlanta St. Patrick’s Parade is celebrating its 141st running since 1858, making it Atlanta’s longest-running event.


St. Patrick’s Day Parade 5K: Saturday, March 14th (9:45 am start time). Prior to the parade, the St. Patrick’s Parade 5K runners will fill the streets of Atlanta. The race is open to all ages and online registration is open until Friday, March 13th.


Luck of The Forum: Saturday, March 14th (4 pm – 6 pm). Experience a purely gold St. Patrick’s Day celebration at Luck of The Forum, featuring music, dancing and Irish flair.


Shake Your Shamrock at Mall of Georgia: Saturday, March 14th (4 pm – 7 pm). Celebrate St. Patrick’s Day at the Mall of Georgia with live music, Irish Dancers and more family fun!

Sandy Springs Northside Saint Patrick's Day Festival: Sunday, March 15th (12 pm - 6 pm).  A day full of fun with Irish and Irish-themed music and dance. Also included will be a “Kids Korner,” a variety of vendors offering Irish and other wares, and Irish and other Food and Beverages for all to enjoy.


Other March Festivals & Events


Orchid Daze at Atlanta Botanical Garden: Orchid Daze returns to the Fuqua Orchid Center through April 12th featuring the scintillating beauty of orchids by using a variety of reflective media.


Atlanta Science Festival: March 7th - 21st.  This expo includes over 100 events and activities across the city, but the big event is the Exploration Expo on Saturday, March 21st in Piedmont Park! Atlanta’s biggest interactive science event is FREE and open to adults, families, and children of all ages and interests.


Harlem Globetrotters: Sunday, March 22nd at Gas South. Don’t miss your chance to see what fans love about the Harlem Globetrotters plus more as the world-famous Globetrotters level-up every game with all-new, exciting challenges in 2026!

Atlanta Braves Home Opener: March 27th. The Atlanta Braves' 2026 opening day is Friday, March 27, 2026, against the Kansas City Royals at Truist Park, with a 7:15 pm first pitch. The home opener will also feature a postgame fireworks show!

Brookhaven Cherry Blossom Festival and 5K: March 28th - 29th. The 2026 Brookhaven Cherry Blossom Festival returns to Blackburn Park featuring free admission, major concerts (The Head and The Heart, Max McNown), an artist market with 100+ vendors, a Kidz Zone, and dog lure chasing. The event runs from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. daily, offering local food, drinks, and a classic car show.
