With most of the attention in December going to Christmas, New Year’s Eve is often a holiday where people find themselves making last-minute plans. And on top of that, it often feels like there aren’t a lot of options for New Year’s Eve besides clubs or bars.

To help take the stress out of New Year’s Eve plans, I’ve listed a few out-of-the-ordinary celebration options below.

Top Golf: Both Midtown and Alpharetta locations are hosting New Year’s Eve events where guests can enjoy entertainment, food, drinks and unlimited play from 9 pm to close. Space is limited, so visit their site to make reservations in advance.

Dad’s Garage: If you want to start your new year off with laughs, this is the best way to do so! Dad’s Garage – an improv comedy theater – is once again performing New Year’s Eve shows at 7 and 10 pm. These shows often sell out – so buy your tickets now

Georgia Aquarium: Spend your New Year’s Eve among the whale sharks, penguins, and other infamous Georgia Aquarium fish. A fundraising event, the “Black and White Celebration” will feature dinner, drinks, and dancing in the beautiful Oceans Ballroom.

The Roots at The Roxy: The legendary R&B group (and Tonight Show house and) will be singing in the new year at the Coca-Cola Roxy. This is an all ages show starts at 9 pm, and both reserved and general tickets are available.

Unicoi State Park: Escape the city and celebrate 2019 from the great outdoors! Spend a few days taking in the beauty of North Georgia and then end your mini-getaway by attending the Unicoi Lodge’s New Year’s Eve bash on the 31st.

Blue Ridge Scenic Railway: Ring in the new year on a midnight train ride through the Blue Ridge mountains. Complete with wine, dessert and music – this is a sure to be a night to remember!
