Summer Concerts & Movie Nights

The Metro Atlanta area offers an extensive array of outdoor movie and concert nights that are not only fun, but also inexpensive (many are FREE)! Most of the events we listed below are catered towards families, but there are also a few that would be perfect for a date-night or evening out with friends.

Concerts


Peachtree Corners Concert Series: Enjoy live music every Saturday now through October at the Town Green. Fans are invited to bring lawn chairs and come early to grab takeout from one of the more than 15 restaurants located at Town Center and picnic on the Green.


Summer Concert Series Thrasher Park (Norcross): Enjoy the “sweet sounds of summer” in downtown Norcross and get ready for some serious fun at the Summer Concert Series, which runs in Thrasher Park from 7:30 – 9:30 p.m. July 18th, August 1st, August 18th, and August 29th.


Newtown Park’s Summer Concert Series: Doors open at 6 p.m. to allow for the public to set up chairs/blankets. Music begins at 7 p.m.


Chamblee Summer Concert Series: The city of Chamblee’s Concert Series will take place on July 4th and August 1st.


Groovin on the Green (Dunwoody):  Groovin’ on the Green is a free series held at the Brook Run Park amphitheater. All concerts begin are family friendly, and include food and drink concessions. July 12th, Aug 9th, September 13th and October 11th


Duluth Live: Now through October, Duluth Live performances will happen every Friday and Saturday from 6-9 pm in Parsons Alley.


Avalon Nights Live: Unwind after a long week with live music in the Plaza every Friday from 6PM to 8PM at Avalon Nights Live! 


Home by Dark (Alpharetta): This beloved free music series returns for select Saturdays in 2025 throughout the warmer months. Located on the East Lawn behind City Hall, bring a blanket and picnic to enjoy a night of stories, songs, and inspiration you’ll never forget.


Groovin on the Green (at Halcyon Alpharetta): Live music will take place at Halcyon every Friday and Saturday evening through November 1st of the year!


City Green Live and Concerts by the Springs at City Springs: Sandy Springs’ amphitheatre is a cozy location that allows visitors to wind down and enjoy the summer with live concerts and events. There are various nights throughout the 2025 summer - learn more about the schedule here


Music on the Hill (Roswell): Get ready to spread out your blanket on the lawn at City Hall, unpack your picnic, uncork a bottle, and unwind by listening to some of the best live music in Atlanta! (August 8th and September 12th).


Movies


Movies on the Town (Town Brookhaven): Every Thursday through July 24th (no movie July 4th). July 10th: Captain America: The First Avenger, July 17th: Wild Robot, July 24th: The Parent Trap (1998).


Movies at Newtown Park (Johns Creek): Movies at the Park is a free summer outdoor series of family-friendly movies presented on a huge inflatable screen. Starts at 7pm.


Flicks on the Green (Town Center): Mark your calendar for the first Saturday of each month May through October. Movies will begin at 7 pm; bring a blanket and stretch out on the lawn and experience movies under the stars. July 5: Hook, August 2: Cool Runnings, September 6: Encanto, October 4: Hocus Pocus


Pics in the Park(Pershnal Park Dunwoody): Enjoy the free showing, free popcorn & candy, and giveaways under the stars. July 11: Home Alone (PG) and August 1: Indiana Jones: The Last Crusade (PG-13)
