The unofficial international hub of Atlanta, Buford Highway has been producing some of the best restaurants in the city for decades. From Korean to Indian, Caribbean, and Vietnamese, the vast array of global cuisines found along the 6-mile stretch of the Buford Highway ‘corridor’ make it a must for any and all food lovers. I’ve listed a few favorites below, but with so many restaurants to choose from, I would love to hear from you if I have missed any!

J’s Mini Hot Pot Delux:  Whether it’s your first time eating hot pot or you’re a hot pot fanatic, J’s Mini Hot Pot is the place to go for a fun and interactive dining experience. For an inside look into the food and atmosphere of J’s, checkout this recent article in the AJC’s Atlanta Restaurant Scene.

Havana Sandwich Shop: This family owned restaurant has been a Buford Highway staple since 1976. In addition to their Cuban sandwich, menu favorites are their empanadas, plantains, and fritas.

El Rey del Taco: For authentic Mexican dishes, El Rey del Taco is your spot! Just be careful, they are known to have some of the spiciest salsas in town!

Sushi House Hayakawa : Sushi House Hayakawa opened on Buford Highway in 2008, and just ten years later they were semifinalists for a James Beard Award in the Best Chef Southeast category. Learn more about this popular (and often difficult to get-in-to) sushi destination in The AJC’s Restaurant Review.

Food Terminal: Though a recent Buford Highway addition, Food Terminal quickly gained attention as one of the best restaurants in the Metro Atlanta area (read Atlanta Magazine’s raving review
