Memorial Day Celebrations 2026

Believe it or not, Memorial Day weekend is just a few weeks away! If you’ll be in town for this summer kickoff holiday, we’ve compiled a list of some of the best events happening around Atlanta.


Stone Mountain Park’s Memorial Day Weekend During Memorial Day Weekend, the Drone & Light Show will feature a formation of 250 drones creating the image of an eagle. May 22–25.


The City of Alpharetta and the Rotary Club of Alpharetta The City of Alpharetta and the Rotary Club of Alpharetta will host Alpharetta’s Memorial Day Tribute on May 25 from 9:00–10:15 am at Alpharetta City Hall, located at 2 Park Plaza. The event is free for the public to attend.


Norcross will pay tribute to the troops and their families with a Memorial Day Remembrance at Thrasher Park on May 25th at 10 am.


Festival & Other Events


Atlanta Braves: The Braves will be hosting the Nationals May 22nd - 24th.


Alpharetta Arts Streetfest: Browse art and other hand-crafted products from regional and national artisans. May 23 - 24 at the Grove at Wills Park.


Atlanta Jazz Festival: The 49th celebration of music, culture, and the art of jazz. May 23 - 25th at Piedmont Park.


Brew at the Zoo: Enjoy beer and wine samples from breweries all over including Georgia, live music throughout the Zoo, yard games, and so much more while savoring incredible views of the animals. Saturday, May 23rd 5:30 – 9 pm.


Georgia Renaissance Festival: Watch knights joust while enjoying delicious food, drinks, and entertainment! May 23 - 25th in Fairburn.


Strawberry Picking: The Strawberry “u-pick” season in Atlanta actually runs from mid-April to early June for strawberries – making May the perfect month for picking. We compiled a list of the best local patches here on our blog.
