The FIFA World Cup Is Coming to Atlanta

As one of the host cities for the FIFA World Cup 2026, Atlanta will welcome fans from around the globe to Mercedes-Benz Stadium this June and July. Whether you're attending a match or simply looking to experience the excitement, there will be no shortage of events, watch parties, and fan experiences throughout the city.
Here's everything you need to know about the World Cup in Atlanta this summer.
Atlanta's FIFA World Cup Match Schedule
With eight matches scheduled at the Mercedes-Benz Stadium, Atlanta is expected to host hundreds of thousands of visitors throughout the tournament.
June 15, 2026: Spain vs. Cabo Verde
June 18, 2026: Czechia vs. South Africa
June 21, 2026: Spain vs. Saudi Arabia
June 24, 2026: Morocco vs. Haiti
June 27, 2026: DR Congo vs. Uzbekistan
July 1, 2026: Round of 32 Match
July 7, 2026: Round of 16 Match
July 15, 2026: Semifinal Match
Even if you don't have match tickets, you'll still be able to experience the World Cup atmosphere at the official FIFA Fan Festival. The festival is expected to operate throughout much of the tournament, creating a central gathering place for fans from around the world. The free festival at Centennial Olympic Park will feature:
Live match broadcasts on giant screens
Interactive soccer activities
Food and beverage vendors
Sponsor activations
Live music and performances
Up to 30 Atlanta-area food trucks will line a quarter-mile stretch between Centennial Olympic Park Drive and Broad Street. "Global Grub Alley" will allow visitors to enjoy a variety of international cuisines from local food trucks while taking in the festive atmosphere downtown. The event is designed to showcase Atlanta's diverse food scene and provide an easy gathering spot before and after matches.
Watch Parties Across Atlanta
Many of Atlanta's favorite restaurants, breweries, and sports bars are expected to host World Cup watch parties throughout the tournament.
The Battery Atlanta welcomes fans to watch games on its Plaza Green throughout the tournament.
City of Decatur is hosting a massive, multi-day event! WatchFest ’26, will be 34 days of free daily outdoor match showings on giant outdoor screens, live music, food trucks, giveaways, a new play area for kids, as well as a skill zone and mini pitch. They will also have 21 indoor WatchSpots at local restaurants, pubs, and shops.
Johns Creek will host two watch parties to celebrate the fun of soccer:
- June 12: The Boardwalk at Town Center
- July 19: Newtown Park
And Gwinnett County is hosting 4 Watch Parties:
- Gwinnett Field(formerly Coolray): June 15 (Registration required)
- Suwanee: June 27
- Peachtree Corners: July 7
- Norcross: July 15
