There’s no better way to celebrate Independence Day than gathering with family and friends under a sky filled with fireworks! This year's festivities feel even more special, as our nation celebrates America’s 250th birthday.


Here in Metro Atlanta, Fourth of July celebrations are bigger and better than ever. Whether you're looking for a family-friendly festival, a hometown parade, a concert under the stars, or simply the perfect place to watch a dazzling fireworks show, there are plenty of options to choose from.


To help you plan your holiday weekend, we've rounded up the best fireworks shows and Independence Day celebrations happening around Metro Atlanta this Fourth of July. Grab your lawn chairs, pack the red, white, and blue, and get ready to celebrate America's birthday in unforgettable fashion.


Happy 4th of July!


Stone Mountain Park (July 1st – 6th): A full fireworks display will take place after every laser show from July 1st through the 6th.


Johns Creek – The Boardwalk at Town Center (July 3rd):  Celebrate our country’s independence at The Boardwalk at Town Center with live music, activities, food, and an exceptional fireworks display! Events begin at 6 pm.


Norcross – Lillian Webb Park (July 3rd): Get ready for an amazing fireworks display that will light up the night sky in shades of red, white and blue at Lillian Webb Park from 5:00 - 10:00 p.m.


Alpharetta – Wills Park (July 3rd & 4th): Alpharetta is bringing the community together for two nights of patriotic fun, live entertainment, and family-friendly celebrations. Visitors are invited to enjoy a spectacular drone show on July 3 and the City's annual fireworks display on July 4.


Lilburn – City Park (July 4th): The fun takes place in Lilburn City Park and features show-stopping bands, a kids' activity zone with inflatables, food vendors serving both savory and sweet treats, and face painters. Event begins with 6 pm.


Atlanta Braves – (July 4th): The Braves will be at home on July 4th and will face the Mets at 8 pm!


Chamblee – (July 4th): R&B sensation and Grammy Award-winning artist Robin Thicke takes the stage on Saturday, July 4th, bringing his signature sound and chart-topping songs for a night of soulful entertainment. The event begins at 6:30 pm and ends with one spectacular firework display, beginning around 9 pm.


Cumming Fairgrounds  (July 4th): Celebrate Independence Day with family and friends at the Cumming Fairgrounds from 4 - 10 pm.


Decatur Square (July 4th): The Pied Piper Parade will make its way through Downtown Decatur at 4 pm on the 4th of July, the Concert on the Square will start at 7 pm, and fireworks will begin at dark.


Dunwoody (July 4th): The annual Dunwoody 4th of July Parade will kick off at 9 a.m. on Saturday, July 4th.


Marietta Square (July 4th): The City of Marietta’s 4th in the Park Celebration beginsJuly 4th at 10 am and includes a parade, free live concerts, arts and crafts show, food, carnival games, and a fireworks finale.


Roswell Area Park (July 4th) – Visit Roswell on July 4th for live music, entertainment, and food trucks. Bring your chairs and blankets to spread out at one of several fireworks viewing areas throughout the park. Event starts at 6 pm and Fireworks will start at sunset.


Sandy Springs (July 4th): Sandy Springs’ Stars and Stripes Celebration takes place on July 4th, starting at 4 pm.
