In the past decade, Atlanta has experienced an increase in the number of award-winning, nationally known restaurants. And with this rise in Atlanta dining, there has also been a surge in the city’s brunch scene. From small, local establishments to upscale restaurants backed by some of the top chefs in the country, there is no shortage of delicious options for those lazy weekend mornings. I’ve highlighted just a few brunch favorites below, keeping in mind that Easter Sunday (April 21st) is just a few weeks away and Mother’s Day (May 12th) is not far behind. As with any holidays, it is best to make reservations in advance and to confirm the brunch times listed below.
Buttermilk Kitchen: Saturdays and Sundays 8 am – 3 pm. Southern classics made from scratch make this Buckhead restaurant a popular weekend destination.
Canoe: Sundays 10:30 am – 2:30 pm. Located on the banks of the Chattahoochee, Canoe offers one of the best brunch views in all of Atlanta.
Empire State South: Sundays 10 am – 3 pm. Modern Southern food in the heart of midtown led by award winning chef Hugh Acheson.
King + Duke: Sundays 11 am – 3 pm. A Buckhead favorite where most dishes (brunch included) are made over a stunning 24 ft hearth.
