Winter 2026: Metro Atlanta Skating Rinks

Even though the holidays are over, we can still enjoy the fun of ice skating during the winter months. Thankfully, outdoor skating rinks around Atlanta give us plenty of opportunities to lace up our skates and make the most of the cold seasons. From family-friendly spots to city-view rinks, here are some of the best local places to hit the ice this winter


.Skate the Station at Atlantic Station. Located in the heart of Atlantic Station; opened now through January 19th. 


Avalon On Ice. An outdoor Rockefeller-inspired rink. Open daily through January 19th.


Skate City Springs. Opened through January 19th, online reservations are recommended for Sandy Springs' outdoor rink.


Ice Days Ice Skating Rink at Legion Field Fair Grounds. Located in Covington, this 100% covered rink is open through February 17th.


The Rink at Park Tavern. Enjoy a comfortable day of ice skating at Piedmont Park with a heated tent and rink-side dining. Open through February 16th. 


License to Chill Snow Island at Margaritaville. Experience a full day of snow fun with ice skating, snow tubing, amusement rides, and more! Open on the weekends through February 22nd. 


The Ice Rink at Sugar Hill. This large rink is open daily through February 22nd and is fully covered!
