Azaleas are a staple in Georgia gardens – their beautiful blooms welcome us to spring each and every year. But did you know that soon after the spring blooms have faded, azaleas should be pruned?

Georgia gardening expert Walter Reeves has detailed the importance of timing when pruning azaleas in his article “Late Spring/Early Summer Pruning”. And he demonstrates when and how to prune azaleas in this informational video from the Georgia Farm Monitor.
